The blade of the Bamboo Samurai Katana Sword is 29 1/2 inches of stainless steel with Japanese characters etched into the blade near the bottom. The two toned tsuba (guard) feature a black main color background with an intricate overlay done in brass of bamboo sprouts. The ornate cast metal fittings also feature a black background with bamboo designs done in brass with a gold finish. The two handed handle has been done with a black nylon cord wrap to match the sageo (wrap on scabbard) and the black lacquered finish of the saya (scabbard). 45 1/2 inches overall.
