Shintogo CUTTING sword. 1060 Carbon steel hand heat forged oil quenched blade, SHARP with hamon , bo-hi 28.5 inches (measured from tip to tsuba). Overall length including saya about 42 inches. The Ito is Black silk over White Rayskin. Tsuka is double pinned with bamboo mekugi, silk Ito wrapped with hishigami paper. Iron Shintogo Wisteria design Tsuba. Weight without saya 2.75 lbs. Saya is wood with high gloss Black lacquer finish. 3 pc bullhorn, Black silk Sageo. Handmade. Brand new. Comes with cotton sword bag, cleaning kit, Black box.

    The blade of the sword has been hand forged using the ancient method of sword making. Two pieces outer jacket steel wrapped around a relatively softer, inner core steel, which is resilient and able to absorb shocks in a way, reduces the possibility of the blade breaking or bending. Thanks for sharing it.....
